An Honest Hello Fresh Review.

Hello Fresh isn't new on the scene it's actually been around for years but recently I've been seeing more and more ads from influencer's and just sponsored posts in general. With most ads when the person is being paid to promote something, it's going to be nothing but positive. Some really do seem genuine about the product but some leave you with a less than fresh (excuse the pun) taste in your mouth. I've wanted to try one of these boxes for ages, and in a bid to try and start eating healthy in January, I thought I'd finally give one a go. So here is my totally honest review:

The Selection Process:
There are three different plans to choose from, The classic, rapid and family box. Depending on the plan you choose (as they differ slightly) you can have a box catered for 2, 3 or 4 people and between 3-5 meals. My first box was £14.99 instead of £29.99 as I had found a code to use.  You can also change your menu preferences, I choose veggie as I'm a vegetarian but there is also, low calorie, chefs choice, fish free, pork free and no preference. The vegetarian box you can choose to have 2-4 people but only have an option for 3 recipes. You can select your own recipes or have them randomly selected for you, and if you need to skip a week theres the option to do so.

The Box & Contents:
The packaging was simple but nice, with everything being able to be recycled. Each meal is packaged individually in a brown paper bag so theres no confusion, and the cold products are wrapped in ice packs to keep them cool en route to you. A recipe card is provided with each meal, with images of the ingredients provided. I was also provided with a bottle of fry light spray which I thought was a nice touch. I was really impressed with all the ingredients as everything was super super fresh.

The Meals:
Lets start with the portion sizes, much much bigger than I had expected. My box was for two people but as there is only me, my plan was to be able to take the left overs to work for lunch the next day and I wasn't disappointed. It provided me with enough food for my evening meal, lunch the next day and then there was even some extra left over after that! There was so much flavour in each dish, not that I expected it to be bland but all the meals were so much tastier than I thought they would be. And again all the ingredients were really fresh and perfectly proportioned. The Instructions for each recipe were super easy to follow with specific things being in bold writing for clarification, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed all three meals but if I had to pick my favourite I think it would be the rocket pesto orzotto!

In conclusion (apparently I think I'm writing a bloody essay) I really don't think there are any cons to Hello Fresh, I bought the box thinking it would be good and I wasn't disappointed. It really did exceed my expectations, and I'm looking forward to my next box already. I would highly recommend giving one of the plans a go, even if it's just for one week. If you would like to give it a try you can use the code ANNAEL3 for £20 off your first box!
